User Research

Currently a graduate student at Northwestern University, I’m studying information design and strategy. This degree encompasses user research, which includes gathering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, organizing focus groups, and conducting interviews in order to better understand a problem from a user’s point of view.

For this project, my team sought to better understand how Northwestern graduate students communicated with faculty and with one another. What were the pain points? What was successful.

Not only did I take part in the research, but I was also tasked with creating the final presentation where we would present our findings. By distilling our research report into understandable language and visuals through metaphor (a hiking journey), our team was able to easily convey the needed information. We received an A.
